How much do outpatient surgery rn jobs pay per hour?
What does an RN do in an outpatient surgery center?
As an RN in an outpatient surgery center, your job is to help each patient through same-day procedures in a hospital or ambulatory surgery center (ASC). RNs frequently work with patients throughout the perioperative period—the time from the patient's admission to their recovery—and may assist with paperwork and treatments before, during, and after the surgery. This position often involves working with other health care providers, including other nurses, surgeons, anesthesiologists, and anyone else whose presence is required for a given procedure. This job involves exposure to blood and gruesome sights, so the ability to remain professional in upsetting situations is essential to success.

What is the difference between Outpatient Surgery Rn vs Operating Room Nurse?
| Aspect | Outpatient Surgery Rn | Operating Room Nurse |
|---|---|---|

| Work Environment | Ambulatory surgery centers, outpatient clinics | Hospitals, surgical suites, operating rooms |
| Job Focus | Preoperative and postoperative care for outpatient procedures | Assisting during surgeries, maintaining sterile environment |
