Job Description

Job Summary

Shriners Hospitals for Children is seeking a dedicated Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) for our Critical Care Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). This role involves providing high-quality, specialized nursing care to pediatric patients recovering from anesthesia and surgery, with a focus on critical care needs.
Key Responsibilities

  • The PACU Registered Nurse provides nursing care to our pediatric patients within the recovery room, performs assessments and interventions designed to keep the patients safe after surgery.

  • The RN provides leadership through activities such as preceptor role and quality improvement efforts.


Required Qualifications

  • BSN degree or in process

  • State RN License

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification or obtained within one year of hire

  • 2 years' experience in Post Anesthesia Care Unit or ICU

Preferred Qualifications

  • Pediatric experience

The pay range for this position is $42.79 - $64.20. Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
