An Outpatient PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit) RN is a registered nurse who cares for patients recovering from anesthesia after outpatient surgical procedures. These nurses work in surgical centers or hospitals, collaborating with anesthesiologists and surgeons. Their primary focus is patient safety, comfort, and a smooth recovery process. Strong critical thinking, communication, and assessment skills are essential in this role.

Additionally, you'll collaborate closely with surgical, anesthesia, and administrative teams to coordinate care and facilitate efficient patient flow. The outpatient setting often means a fast-paced environment with a steady rotation of patients, so strong organizational skills are essential.
