Job Requirements
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice or compact licensure eligibility
  • Minimum 2 years of perioperative, PACU, or surgical services nursing experience
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
  • Strong IV insertion skills and ability to prepare patients for surgery
  • Ability to complete Phase 2 recovery care in an outpatient surgery setting
  • Dysrhythmia exam required
  • Experience with pre-op, post-op, and outpatient surgical workflows preferred
  • Endoscopy and PACU experience is a plus
  • Ability to work safely in a high-volume, fast-paced clinical environment
Responsibilities
  • Provide compassionate, evidence-based PACU nursing care throughout the perioperative process
  • Perform thorough patient assessments before, during, and after procedures
  • Administer medications safely and in accordance with nursing standards and facility policies
  • Prepare patients for surgery, including IV insertion and preoperative readiness
  • Deliver Phase 2 recovery care and support discharge readiness
  • Monitor patients for clinical changes and respond appropriately to recovery needs
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical team members
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient environment for surgical patients
  • Float to Endoscopy or PACU as needed and within scope of practice
