Job description

Registered Nurse – Post Anesthesia Care Unit

Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (06:00 - 14:30); Day 5x8-Hour (07:30 - 16:00)

Contract Length: 14 weeks

Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

Minimum Years of Experience: 2 Years

Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS

Skills: IV Therapy/Phlebotomy skills including Starting and Maintaining IVs

Pre/Post Op Care of the Patient, including Discharge Instructions and Medication Reconciliation

Professional Topics & Skills: Malignant Hyperthermia Protocol, Pain Assessment & Management

Experience in Ambulatory/Outpatient settings

Provide direct patient care in the post-anesthesia care unit.

Monitor and assess patient conditions post-surgery.

Administer medications and IV therapy as prescribed.

Educate patients and families on post-operative care and discharge instructions.

Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

RTO after booking is not allowed.

Must pass EKG testing prior to start.
