## Outpatient/PACU Registered Nurse - Full Time Parsons### Category:Surgery### Department:Surgery### Description:**Job Summary**The Outpatient/PACU Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional nursing care to patients undergoing outpatient procedures and same-day surgeries. Responsibilities include preoperative assessment and preparation, Phase I post-anesthesia recovery, patient monitoring, medication administration, patient education, discharge planning, and collaboration with physicians, anesthesia providers, and the healthcare team to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.**Essential Responsibilities*** Perform preoperative assessments and prepare patients for procedures.* Provide Phase I PACU care, including monitoring airway, vital signs, pain management, and recovery from anesthesia.* Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition.* Administer medications and treatments as ordered.* Educate patients and families on procedures, recovery, and discharge instructions.* Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.* Follow all hospital policies, infection prevention practices, HIPAA regulations, and patient safety standards.**Qualifications*** Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred.* Current Kansas Registered Nurse (RN) license.* Previous outpatient surgery, ambulatory care, PACU, or related nursing experience preferred.* Current BLS required.* PALS required.* ACLS required within six months of hire.**Physical Requirements**Must be able to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 25 pounds, and perform routine patient care activities requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity.EOE### Posted:Monday, August 3, 2026### Closing:Open until filled #J-18808-Ljbffr
