Full Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

The primary responsibility of this job is to ensure that all product that is ready for shipment meets pre-determined quality standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Perform Quality Control test as required on all finished products.
  • Required test will involve the use of laboratory scales, salt, moisture, and oil equipment.
  • Performs specified quality checks on raw materials using laboratory alcohol, silver nitrate and other chemicals.
  • Keeps accurate records on results of raw material and finished goods testing.
  • Using a check weight scale, make weight check form.
  • Examines finished product packages for appearance, proper coding, correct bag fill, and proper seals.
  • Reports results of quality control checks to production manager in a timely manner.
  • Completes numerous reports requiring mathematical computation of averages and percentages.
  • Must have 1 – 2 years leadership experience.
  • Position requires basic math skills.
  • Chemistry background a plus.
  • Position requires a strong working knowledge of Microsoft office suite with an intermediate level of Excel.
  • Available to work all 3 shifts.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Requires constant lifting, bending and standing.
  • Requires ability to carry equipment weighing approximately 25 lbs.
