Job description

Role: Healthcare Infrastrucutre IT Project Manager

Location: Chicago, IL (Onsite)

Duration: 6+ month C2H

Client Note: The individual we are looking for has done similar projects in other healthcare facilities (preferred).  This is the PM in charge of all of the detailed tech components when a new ambulatory location is being build / outfitted or when units are being moved from one floor/building to another.

Job Description:

This position initiates, plans, executes, and finalizes the technology component implementations for all assigned projects within established budget/schedule. The Project Manager manages the efforts of all team members to deliver technology components according to project scope and goals. In most situations, assigned technology implementations will be components associated with organizational Planning, Design, and Construction programs/projects.

Responsibilities:

• Directs and manages project development and progress from beginning to end, delivering projects on time, within budget, with expected results

• Manages multiple projects simultaneously, including high-profile and large-scale projects

• Defines and documents the project scope deliverables supporting business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders

• Drafts and submits technology budget proposals and recommends subsequent budget changes

• Builds, develops, and grows any business relationships vital to the success of the project

• Performs detailed requirements gathering, develops scaled project plans and associated communications documents using standard tools

• Manages all aspects of the standard technology implementation lifecycle including design, procurement, installation, build/configure, test, train, go-live, and close

Mandatory Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in project management, health care or related field

• Eight years of project management experience

• Working knowledge of PMI, project management principles, methodology and tools (MS Project)

• Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office, Visio, Adobe, and project management software

• General understanding of IT systems and IT processes

• Thorough knowledge of formal project management methodologies

• Ability to manage projects simultaneously

Nice-to-Have Skills:

Experience with implementing associated hardware and building power, data and network requirements for healthcare applications and technologies

• Experience with managing medical imaging projects

• PMP certification

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawing sets and specifications
