A&K Railroad Materials is a national rail manufacturing and supply company with more than 65 years in the industry. We are hiring a General Laborer to support yard operations at our Kansas City, Ks location. This is a full-time, M-F hands-on role for individuals who prefer physical work and being outdoors.


As a General Laborer, you will assist with the movement, staging, and organization of railroad materials throughout the yard. This position requires working both indoors and outdoors and supporting daily operations in a team-based environment. The work is active and fast-paced, with safety and teamwork as top priorities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Move, sort, load, and stage rail materials and other inventory
  • Assist with general yard operations and production support
  • Operate basic tools, equipment
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe indoor and outdoor work areas
  • Work closely with team members to meet daily operational needs
