The Outbound Supervisor is responsible for the safe movement and shipment of material to customers. This position will collaborate with other departments to determine material needs according to specifications and coordinate shipping procedures and material movement through the manufacturing process.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Experience: At 5 least years of experience in a related area. Planning, Supply Chain, Inventory Management, Logistics (domestic and international) experience preferred.

Travel: 0-10%

Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 6 am to 6 pm, or 6 pm to 6 am Monday through Friday depending on assigned shift. May vary based on customer demands and can include, but is not limited to: nights, weekends, and holidays.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for leading all aspects of finished goods movement, inventory, locations, quantities, tracking and personnel.
  • Create BOL/Purchase Orders and any other documentation needed for shipping purposes.
  • Monitor current freight rates/track trends of freight market.
  • Track schedules with customers/brokers/carriers/internal updates on outbound equipment/material.
  • Ensure the verification of finished goods against current orders.
  • Ensure the quality of finished goods as they are loaded and transported to jobsite/customers.
  • Track and update daily, weekly, and monthly metrics and reports; drive improvements in key metrics (including safety, accuracy and quality, on-time delivery, financial performance, and excellence thru people). Manage documents and projects as assigned.
  • Coordinate tasks with packaging department as needed.
  • Maintains inventory, which includes keeping records in an inventory management system, acquiring and distributing items from stock to fulfill requisitions.
  • Lead, coach, and develop material handlers, packaging department.
  • Communicate and update information with Dock Coordinator.
  • Maintains inventory, which includes keeping records in an inventory management system, acquiring additional stock as required, and distributing items from stock to fulfill requisitions.
  • Facilitates communication regarding material quantities with production & jobsite/customer
  • Resolves job material discrepancies and communicates resolution to job in a timely manner.
  • Plan, organize, and monitor the shipping, loading, storage, and distribution of all items either from suppliers or production shops ensuring a smooth and consistent operation so parts and supplies are located and distributed to proper departments in an effective and efficient manner as needed to satisfy internal and external customer requirements.
  • Maintain appropriate records of material receipts/BOLS/Packing Slips and initial material movement / storage within the facility.
  • Ensure procurement/track high risk items for procurement.
  • Collaborates with managers and other departments to develop and modify material inventory processes and procedures.
  • Provides input on supplier performance to materials / supply chain team leadership.
  • Manage Packaging department quality/inventory/productivity provided to customers.
  • Actively maintains 5S principles throughout work area.
  • Ensure proper safety procedures are followed at all times.
  • Actively participates in Faith's hiring referral and mentoring program, as appropriate.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
