Shipping & Receiving Associate
Location: Tacoma
Shift: 10am-6:30pm

Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Associate to support inbound and outbound material flow in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for receiving, verifying, sorting, scanning, staging, and moving frames and lenses throughout the facility while maintaining accuracy, quality, and safety standards.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a production setting, has strong attention to detail, and can consistently follow established procedures to ensure materials are processed correctly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Support inbound and outbound shipping activities by preparing, receiving, and staging materials according to established procedures and training.
Receive, verify, and sort frames and lenses to ensure accurate identification and routing throughout the facility.
Accurately scan, label, and document materials to maintain inventory and system accuracy.
Organize, store, and transport frames and lenses to designated production areas following standard work instructions.
Perform visual inspections to identify obvious damage, discrepancies, or handling concerns and escalate issues according to established procedures.
Maintain compliance with all safety, quality, and productivity requirements.
Work collaboratively with team members and leadership to support operational goals and customer commitments.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Basic computer skills, including data entry and use of scanning equipment.
Strong attention to detail when identifying, sorting, and handling frames and lenses.
Ability to follow written, verbal, and visual work instructions consistently.
Manual dexterity and the ability to safely handle small, delicate components.
Strong communication skills and ability to report issues promptly.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Minimum Requirements
Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
Basic computer literacy and experience using scanners or inventory tracking systems.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials within required limits, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment while adhering to all safety and quality standards.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, production, or distribution environment.
Familiarity with shipping, receiving, inventory management, or scanning systems.
Experience handling small, fragile, or precision components.
Comfortable working in a high-volume, metric-driven operation.

Pay Details: $18.61 per hour
