Position Summary

Novolex is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Shipping Administrator to join our Meriden manufacturing team. In this role, you will coordinate daily shipping and receiving operations to ensure the accurate, timely, and efficient movement of finished goods, raw materials, and production supplies. You will serve as a key liaison between Production, Warehouse, Scheduling, and Quality while maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting world-class customer service.

What You'll Do

  • Coordinate daily outbound shipments and inbound deliveries.
  • Process shipping, receiving, inventory, and transfer transactions in the ERP system.
  • Prepare shipping documentation, bills of lading, packing slips, labels, and carrier paperwork.
  • Schedule freight with approved transportation providers.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through transaction processing, cycle counts, and reconciliations.
  • Ensure compliance with customer routing requirements and shipping specifications.
  • Support SQF, GMP, OSHA, food safety, and inventory traceability requirements.
  • Collaborate with Production, Planning, Warehouse, Customer Service, Purchasing, Maintenance, and Quality to support operational goals.
  • Assist with physical inventories, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 3–5 years of experience in shipping, logistics, warehouse operations, inventory control, or manufacturing.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
  • Manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Forklift experience or certification.
Work Environment

This position works in both an office and manufacturing environment, requiring frequent interaction with warehouse and production personnel. Occasional overtime may be required to support customer demand, month-end activities, inventories, and audits.
