Position SummaryThe Over-the-Road (OTR) Truck Driver is responsible for safely transporting freight across regional and long-distance routes while ensuring timely deliveries and compliance with all transportation regulations. This position requires a dependable, safety-focused professional who can operate commercial vehicles efficiently and maintain excellent customer service standards.
Key Responsibilities - Operate a commercial tractor-trailer to transport freight safely and efficiently
- Perform pre-trip, in-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Ensure timely pickup and delivery of loads according to schedules
- Maintain accurate logs, trip records, fuel receipts, and delivery documentation
- Comply with all Department of Transportation (DOT), FMCSA, and company safety regulations
- Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transport
- Communicate regularly with dispatch regarding load status, delays, or issues
- Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or safety concerns promptly
- Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of assigned equipment
- Provide professional and courteous service to customers and shipping/receiving personnel
Qualifications - Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- 2 years Driving Experience
- Clean driving record and ability to meet DOT requirements
- Current DOT medical card
- Minimum of [X] months/years of OTR driving experience preferred
- Ability to operate manual and/or automatic transmission vehicles
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check

Work Environment - Extended periods of driving and travel
- Overnight and multi-day trips required
- Exposure to varying weather and road conditions
