Our Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Execution Manager to join our team. This role is critical in overseeing and optimizing key transportation processes, ensuring operational excellence, and driving impactful results. As the Transportation Execution Manager, you will manage diverse transportation tasks and programs, including OTM/Spot, Carrier Scorecard Calls, Vendor Calls, and Trailer Yard Management. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners to meet business objectives, implement process improvements, and enhance performance metrics. This is a unique opportunity to make a measurable impact within a dynamic and growing organization.
This role covers a weekend shift, working 7:30 AM-4:30 PM EST. The daily schedule will be either Thursday-Monday or Saturday-Wednesday and occasionally will require an overnight shift.
What You'll Do:
  • Sub-Regional Oversight: Lead and oversee the transportation operations within a sub-region or market area, managing multiple fulfillment centers, carriers, and vendors. Own the cost, service quality, and adherence to the standard of work within the sub-region.
  • Optimize Transportation Processes: Drive efficiency and effectiveness in key transportation areas such as load planning, yard management, transload operations, and data accuracy in Oracle Transportation Management (OTM).
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with internal teams, carriers, and vendors to enhance operational performance, resolve issues, and align processes with business goals.
  • Performance Improvement: Utilize metrics and analytics to identify and address service and cost defects, implementing corrective actions through programs like WBR, PIP, and RTS resolution.
  • Strategic Initiatives: Develop and execute strategies to streamline transportation operations, foster continuous improvement, and achieve optimal service levels.

What You'll Need:
  • 5+ years of experience in transportation, supply chain, or logistics with a focus on process improvement and performance management.
  • Strong background in using Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) or similar transportation management systems.
  • Proven ability to lead and execute cross-functional initiatives in a matrixed environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, including experience with carrier and vendor relationship management.
  • Analytical proficiency, including basic SQL skills and experience with data-driven problem solving and metrics reporting.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing programs focused on third-party performance management.
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, business, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
  • Tableau or data visualization experience is a bonus.

Bonus (if applicable):
  • Hands-on experience in transload and yard management operations.
  • Background in e-commerce or retail transportation environments.
