Safety Specialist

Broken Arrow, OK - onsite 5 times a week

Direct Hire | Full-Time -- must be authorized to work in the United States now and in the future without assistance

$70,000 - $80,000 annually (DOE) + Bonus Opportunity

We are seeking a hands-on Safety Specialist to lead and support workplace safety initiatives within a manufacturing environment. This individual will work closely with operations and leadership to strengthen safety programs, improve processes, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a culture where safety is a shared responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote and reinforce a safety-first culture throughout the facility.
  • Develop, update, and maintain safety procedures, policies, and standard operating procedures.
  • Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments.
  • Partner with production leaders to identify risks and implement corrective actions.
  • Lead safety orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing employee training.
  • Investigate workplace incidents, determine root causes, and recommend preventive measures.
  • Maintain safety records, inspection logs, training documentation, and regulatory files.
  • Monitor OSHA compliance and stay current on applicable safety regulations.
  • Track safety metrics and prepare reports for leadership.
  • Coordinate PPE programs and support workers' compensation and return-to-work efforts.
  • Assist with environmental, health, and emergency preparedness initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of safety experience in manufacturing, industrial, construction, or fabrication environments.

  • Experience delivering safety training or leading employee safety meetings.
