An OSCP Remote job is a cybersecurity role that requires an Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) certification and allows professionals to work remotely. These jobs typically involve penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and ethical hacking to identify and mitigate security risks. Remote OSCP professionals use their skills to evaluate the security of networks, applications, and systems for organizations worldwide. Strong technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and knowledge of cybersecurity best practices are essential for success in this role.
To excel as an OSCP Remote professional, you need strong knowledge of penetration testing methodologies, vulnerability assessment, and proficiency in ethical hacking, ideally proven by the OSCP certification. Familiarity with tools like Kali Linux, Metasploit, Burp Suite, and various scripting languages such as Python and Bash is crucial. Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, effective communication, and self-motivation are key soft skills for success in remote settings. These competencies are vital for identifying security weaknesses, collaborating remotely with security teams, and ensuring the integrity of client systems and data.
OSCP Remote professionals often encounter challenges such as maintaining clear communication with clients and team members across different time zones and ensuring secure, reliable remote access to testing environments. Managing distractions and staying disciplined in a remote setting are also important for maintaining productivity. Additionally, staying up to date with evolving cybersecurity threats and tools requires proactive self-learning. Despite these challenges, the remote format offers flexibility and the chance to work with a broader range of clients, enhancing expertise and industry exposure.

Overview
Instacart's Detection Engineering team sits at the core of our Security organization, building and operating the systems that identify, surface, and respond to threats across one of North America's largest grocery technology platforms. We own the full detection lifecycle, from telemetry collection and signal design to automated response, across a complex, cloud-native environment spanning endpoint, cloud, container, and SaaS.
As a Detection Engineer, you'll be a technical anchor on the team: developing high-fidelity detection logic, hunting for novel attacker techniques, and raising the bar for how we think about coverage, quality, and scale. You'll work closely with Engineering, Red Team, Incident Response, Fraud, and Trust & Safety to ensure our detections reflect real-world adversary behavior (and not just signatures).
We operate with a detection-as-code mindset: everything we build is versioned, tested, and deployed through repeatable pipelines. We care deeply about reducing noise, improving analyst efficiency through automation and SOAR, and continuously evolving our coverage as the threat landscape shifts.
If you're energized by hard forensic problems, enjoy translating attacker TTPs into durable detection logic, and want to help shape the future of a growing security function, this role is for you.
