As a leading patient-centered orthopedic practice, we specialize in musculoskeletal care and advanced surgical interventions, helping patients regain mobility, reduce pain, and return to the activities they love.

We're looking for a skilled and compassionate Pre- and Post-Operative Registered Nurse (RN) to join our growing team. In this vital role, you'll guide patients through every stage of their surgical journeyโ€”from preparation and education to recovery and dischargeโ€”making a meaningful impact on patient outcomes every day.

Why Join Coastal Orthopedics?

Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package Supportive, collaborative team culture Meaningful work that directly improves patients' quality of life Predictable schedule with excellent work-life balance No weekends, nights, or holidays Opportunity to grow within a respected orthopedic practice

What You'll Do

  • Perform comprehensive pre-operative assessments, including medical history reviews and patient education
  • Prepare patients for surgery, ensuring all documentation, testing, and protocols are complete
  • Monitor and care for patients during the immediate post-operative recovery phase
  • Assess vital signs, recovery progress, and patient comfort while identifying potential concerns
  • Administer medications and manage pain according to physician orders
  • Provide clear discharge instructions and post-operative education to patients and their families
  • Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and clinical staff to deliver outstanding patient care
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Uphold the highest standards of patient safety, infection control, and regulatory compliance

What We're Looking For

  • Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required
  • Orthopedic, surgical, PACU, or ambulatory surgery experience preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and patient education abilities
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • BLS certification required; ACLS preferred

If you're passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and want to be part of a team that values both clinical excellence and work-life balance, we'd love to hear from you.

Apply today and help patients take the next step toward recovery and a more active life.
