Job description

Overview
A Host is the first point of contact for guests and is responsible for presenting exceptional customer service to ensure the guests' first impression of the restaurant is a positive one.
Responsibilities
  • Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant with a genuine smile and positive attitude.
  • Engage with guests, anticipate their needs, and respond promptly to any inquiries or concerns.
  • Maintain knowledge of the menu, daily specials, and restaurant promotions to provide accurate information to guests.
  • Handle guest complaints or issues professionally or bring them to the manager when necessary.
  • Assist with running food, delivering and/or refilling guests' drinks.
  • Guide guests to their tables and present them with menus.
  • Take to-go orders over the phone and in person.
  • Engage with guests to ensure they're happy with food and service.
  • Refill drinks and clear plates as needed during guest's dining experience.
  • Provide great customer service.
  • Provide highchairs and other requested items to the guest.
  • Responsibilities include complying with all federal and state laws, including the FLSA tip regulations regarding tip reporting, sharing, and minimum wage requirements.

Qualifications
  • 1 year of restaurant experience preferred.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Positive attitude.
  • Work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Availability on weekdays, weekends, nights, mornings, and holidays.
  • Must be able to read and write in English and handle math calculations.
