Robert Half is partnering with our client, a Fortune 500 leader in the technology and cloud services industry, in the search for an Event Content Manager to support a global events marketing organization.


Duration: 8-Month Contract

Location: Seattle, WA (Onsite)

Hours: 40 Hours/Week

Pay Rate: $40–45/Hour (W2)


Position Overview:

The Event Content Manager will support the planning, development, and execution of content for large-scale conferences, customer events, and executive programs. Partnering closely with product marketing, speakers, customers, and cross-functional stakeholders, this individual will manage content strategy, session development, speaker coordination, timelines, and deliverables across assigned event tracks. The ideal candidate is a highly organized project manager with strong event management experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while ensuring high-quality content is delivered on time and within budget.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end content development and execution for assigned event content tracks, breakout sessions, and speaker programs.
  • Establish and maintain content development schedules, milestones, deadlines, and deliverables to ensure successful event execution.
  • Partner with product marketing, event teams, and subject matter experts to define content strategy and track objectives.
  • Coordinate content reviews and approvals while ensuring alignment with event goals, audience needs, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with session owners, employee speakers, customer speakers, and marketing stakeholders to develop engaging, high-quality content experiences.
  • Monitor content progress, identify risks, and proactively communicate status updates and mitigation plans to stakeholders.
  • Serve as part of a cross-functional event "tiger team" responsible for planning, resource allocation, budget oversight, and operational execution.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, customers, vendors, and external partners.
  • Track project performance and prepare regular reports, dashboards, and executive updates regarding content development progress.
  • Support vendor management activities, including coordination, communication, and deliverable tracking.
  • Monitor and maintain content quality standards across all assigned programs and sessions.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives, onboarding documentation, and staffing analyses to support future event planning efforts.

Qualifications:

  • 2–3+ years of experience in event management, event marketing, project management, content operations, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting large-scale conferences, corporate events, trade shows, or customer-facing event programs preferred.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating cross-functional stakeholders, speakers, vendors, and executive-level partners.
  • Experience managing budgets, timelines, and resource planning activities.
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Asana and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
  • Experience preparing presentations, project reports, and executive communications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project management certifications such as PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2, CMP, or equivalent.
