Job description

Title:

DJBOSS: Specialist, Materials -Ordnance

Program Summary

KBR sustains the operational well-being of U.S. armed forces at Djibouti, Africa, Camp Lemonnier Naval Base. Our services encompass program management, contingency and expeditionary, asset management and recreation support, postal operations, safety services, logistics, and more. KBR ensures the base operates smoothly, allowing deployed personnel to focus on mission execution.

Job Summary

Administers production control, inventory control, shipping and receiving of materials.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Checks parts and materials for damage and verifies quantity, part number, and serial number of shipped items.
  • Records and prepares status reports of requested and received items. Under general supervision, and occasional direct supervision, performs assignments requiring experience and knowledge of standard concepts within their field.
  • Displays core job competencies by analyzing possible solutions using standard procedures while developing advanced skills.

Basic Qualifications

  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Skills required for this job are typically acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree and 5+ years of experience, or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
  • 3-5 years of experience in various Ordnance or Ammunition roles performed while assigned to Navy / Marine/Army or Air Force, munitions /ordnance organizations.
  • Demonstrate skills and ability to prioritize work
  • Previous assignments and recent work history supporting Navy BOS / Facility Support operations or contracts in austere or remote environments is desired.
  • Must have or be able to obtain/maintain a secret clearance
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment with multiple interruptions/distractions.
  • Excellent customer relations, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Capable of obtainingOPNAV/NAVSEA certifications
  • Willing and able to belicensed for explosive handling or equipment (if applicable)

  • Process & Service improvement techniques and methodology desired
