Dependability, teamwork, and time management are valuable soft skills that help ensure orders are picked accurately and efficiently. These skills are crucial for maintaining inventory accuracy, meeting shipping deadlines, and supporting overall warehouse productivity.

Other job duties include tracking warehouse inventory, labeling pallets for shipment, and operating a pallet jack to move pallets to the loading dock. To become an order selector, you must be at least 18-years-old with a high school diploma or equivalent. Knowing how to operate a forklift or pallet jack is helpful, but most positions provide on-the-job training.
