Job description

A community hospital with 100 beds located about 1 to 1.5 hours north of Oklahoma City is seeking a dedicated pharmacist to join their night shift team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative environment where your skills in hospital pharmacy practice will be highly valued. The position is contract to hire, with a strong preference for candidates aiming for a permanent role to provide continuity and stability.
Schedule:

  • 7 days on, 7 days off, night shift
Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
  • Supervise and guide pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth workflow
  • Apply pharmacokinetic principles to optimize patient medication therapy
  • Collaborate and consult regularly with physicians and nurses to support patient care
  • Utilize Meditech electronic health records for order processing and documentation
