Job description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Order Picker to join a dynamic manufacturing team in Vernon Hills, IL. The ideal candidate will have strong computer skills, excellent organization, and hands-on experience with shipping systems, ERP software, and WaveRunner operation. This position plays a key role in maintaining shipping accuracy, tracking inventory, and ensuring timely and efficient deliveries.

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately prepare, package, and process outgoing shipments

Create and verify shipping documentation (labels, bills of lading, packing slips)

Input and track shipment data using ERP systems and shipping software

Generate daily and weekly reports for shipping and inventory activity

Schedule carrier pickups and communicate effectively with logistics partners

Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials and deliveries

Operate WaveRunner and RF scanners to handle inventory and shipping tasks

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

Support team goals and contribute to continuous process improvements

Qualifications:

Prior experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred

Must have experience operating a WaveRunner

Strong computer proficiency, including ERP systems and Microsoft Excel

Ability to generate and interpret shipping/inventory reports

Skilled in using RF scanners and digital documentation tools

Excellent attention to detail and time management

Forklift certification a plus

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
