Job description

Love ice cream? Love working in a fast-paced environment? Graeter’s wants to grow our team as we expand our freezer and distribution capabilities!  We are a fun and exciting 4th generation family-owned company looking for candidates to help us achieve our goal of providing our customers with the best service and products available anywhere.
Members of our Distribution Team will select products according to items/quantities specified on order pick sheets, place the product in the proper locations on pallets and ice cream carts, and prepare the product for shipping.  They are responsible for efficiently and accurately receiving raw ingredients and finished products, sorting, segregating, and putting away the product into the proper locations throughout the warehouse and freezer.  A Forklift Operator / Order Picker utilizes Graeter’s ERP system to pick orders and record all inventory transactions within the warehouse and freezer facilities.
 

Schedule:  8 PM – 4:30 AM Sunday - Thursday

Job Requirements:

  • Previous forklift experience is required
  • Education:  High School Diploma / GED equivalent
  • Other technical knowledge:  Forklift experience must include Reach Truck, Stand-up narrow aisle counterbalance, and electric pallet jack.
  • Computer Competence – able to input information in Graeter’s Ice Cream Company ERP system.
  • Able to lift up to 75 pounds 1-2 times an hour, 6-8 hours daily.
  • Able to lift up to 20 pounds 30-60 times an hour, 6-8 hours a day.
  • Flexibility to load equipment and supplies into and out of vehicles and shelves. 
  • Able to work regularly in frozen locations (-20 degrees). 
  • Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting below the waist and above the head.
  • Ability to stand throughout the entire shift except for break.
