In-Home Assisted Living Inc. (IHAL) is seeking dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurses (RNs) to provide hourly in-home nursing care for clients in Greater Toronto Area. If you are committed to delivering safe, high-quality, client-focused care, we would love to hear from you.


What You Should Know

Location: Toronto / Etobicoke ON (patient homes 1 on 1 homes)
Schedule: Flexible hourly shifts - days, nights, weekdays, weekends
Shift Length: 12 hour shifts, either 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am


What You'll Do

Nursing Care & Clinical Support

  • Provide skilled nursing care within RN scope of practice
  • Perform tracheal suctioning as needed
  • Administer medications (oral, injectable, topical)
  • Perform wound care, dressing changes, and skin assessments
  • Monitor vital signs and assess changes in client condition
  • Support chronic disease management and symptom control
  • Communicate health concerns promptly to the Case Manager or healthcare team

Daily Living & Safety Support

  • Assist with personal care when required (bathing, grooming, toileting)
  • Support safe mobility, positioning, and transfers
  • Reinforce safety strategies and fall-prevention measures

Documentation & Communication

  • Complete accurate nursing notes for each visit
  • Document observations, significant changes, and interventions
  • Collaborate effectively with families and the interdisciplinary team

Companionship & Emotional Support

  • Build therapeutic rapport with clients
  • Provide reassurance, active listening, and supportive presence
  • Promote dignity, independence, comfort, and emotional well-being

What We're Looking For

  • Current RN license in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience, ideally in community, geriatrics, home care, or chronic care
  • CPR/First Aid certification
  • Must have experience with tracheal suctioning
  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
  • Compassionate, reliable, and able to work independently
