Job description

About the Role:
NJ Oral & Facial Surgery is looking for a skilled and dedicated Oral Surgery/Dental Assistant to join our team in Howell, and Monroe NJ! This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced oral surgeons in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment where your skills truly make a difference every day.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist oral surgeons during a variety of surgical procedures including extractions, implants, and facial surgeries
  • Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and maintain a clean, organized operatory
  • Take and process dental X-rays and CBCT scans as needed
  • Monitor and assist with patient sedation and post-operative care
  • Educate patients on pre- and post-operative instructions to ensure smooth recovery
  • Manage and document accurate patient records and treatment notes
  • Maintain inventory of surgical supplies and assist with ordering as needed
Requirements:
  • Prior experience as a dental or oral surgery assistant strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with oral surgery procedures, instruments, and terminology
  • Dental radiography certification or X-ray license required or ability to obtain
  • CPR/BLS certification preferred
  • Strong chairside manner with a compassionate, patient-centered approach
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced surgical environment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
