A Smile 4U is a privately owned dental practice with locations in Cartersville, Dalton, Decatur, East Point, and Hiram. We offer a wide range of specialties under one roof including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, and oral surgery using advanced, state-of-the-art equipment and scheduling technology. We proudly serve both pediatric and adult patients, and we're committed to creating a welcoming environment and delivering an outstanding, memorable experience for every patient.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the dentist with a wide range of dental procedures, including orthodontic treatments, crown preparation, crown placement, and adjustments.
  • Explain office procedures to patients before treatment
  • Provide quality, compassionate care to patients before, during, and after dental treatment
  • Manage patients during dental procedures and ensure their comfort
  • Accurately chart existing dental conditions and record progress notes
  • Provide patients with post-operative instructions following treatment or surgery
  • Take dental impressions for study models
  • Prepare, maintain, and sterilize dental instruments, supplies, and equipment
  • Take and develop dental x-rays; collect and record patient health histories
  • Serve as infection control officer: maintain sterilization logs and ensure compliance with infection control protocols
  • Monitor and document repairs for operatory and handpiece equipment
  • Complete daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance tasks (e.g., autoclave testing, trap cleaning)
  • Assist with ordering and inventory of dental supplies
  • Support the clinic with recall and treatment plan reports as needed
  • Adhere to all government, OSHA, and company regulations
  • Provide direct patient care across multiple specialties including pediatric dentistry and oral surgery
