Location: Remote, USA

Employment Type: Full-Time

Gross annual base salary: USD - 131,000 -170,000 (Additional variable compensation and benefits may apply. Total compensation is based on experience, skills, and location using objective, job-related criteria)

Summary

This Principal Consultant will provide an integral consultative component to our customers' ongoing efforts to expedite the ROI and maximize the effectiveness of their business performance management solutions, especially OneStream XF. Consultants are responsible for providing solutions by working with customers to develop applications primarily for financial reporting. A Consultant has hands-on knowledge of OneStream and a track record of successful implementations as well as core product training. A Consultant completes the implementation work in a timely manner and can assist in validating the requirements and design of the application.

A Consultant performs the routine and non-routine activities in each area of responsibility independently, with minimal coaching and supervision. OneStream Consultants typically work together with customer resources and frequently with a team of other consultants to implement complex web-based Business Performance Management solutions. Teamwork is an important function of this role. The ideal candidate possesses experience working in finance organizations, with sound understanding of the nature of work performed by financial analysts, controllers, finance directors, and CFOs.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with clients on scoping specific projects, and then work with the client to produce measurable results.
  • Independently own entire build process.
  • Become intimately familiar with OneStream's engagement methodology and service offerings, as well as the partner solution offerings within their respective practice.
  • Assist in pre-sales efforts to explain our services offerings to prospective customers.
  • Demonstrate the core/advanced functionality of single solution on the platform through Proof of Concept.
  • Engage in conversations with Sales to discuss implementation of a use case at current or prior customer (or employer).
  • Delegate tasks to and mentor junior members of the team.
  • Independently complete implementation work and project documentation.
  • Review and finalize documentation and application elements prepared by junior team members.
  • Lead troubleshooting and resolution of application issues.
  • Lead a full multi-solution design session; prepare complete design document.
  • Assist in identifying roles and responsibilities for projects.
  • Provide feedback on team performance.
  • Responsible for managing small projects in accordance with the PRIME methodology.
  • Create and maintain project financials, project plan, and status reporting.
  • Mentor less experienced consultants.
  • Contribute to OneCommunity.
  • Identify and recreate issues for tracking and resolution with product development.
  • Conduct customer training.
  • Lead customer meetings, manage customer relationships.
  • Submit timesheet & expense reports timely.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in fields such as (but not limited to) Accounting, Business, Finance, Information Systems, Mathematics, or CIS, or equivalent work experience.
  • 12+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Extensive experience with SQL, C#, VB.NET or similar programming experience.
  • High degree of proficiency with MS Office and data modeling skills.
  • Deep understanding of financial accounting processes.
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical background (consulting, banking, research).
  • Superior presentation skills.
  • Strong technical skills/background as it relates to product implementation.
  • Prior Experience with databases (Oracle, Essbase, etc.).

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Master degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or Information Technology.
  • A professional accounting designation (e.g. CPA, CMA, CGA, CA), advanced degrees (MBA, MFA), and/or other professional designations or certifications (applicable to accounting/finance and information technology)
  • Prior experience with any of the following products is a plus:
    • SAP Outlooksoft BPC
    • SAP BOFC (Cartesis)
    • HFM (Hyperion Financial Management)
    • FDM (Financial Data Quality Management) or UpStream
    • Hyperion Planning
    • Hyperion Essbase
    • IBM Cognos

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to design complex solutions
  • Ability to design, build and customize Task Manager, Parcel Service, Guided Reporting, Specialty Planning Solutions,
  • Transaction Matching, RCM, ACM
  • Increasing ability to take on more senior roles in implementations including leadership roles with little supervision
  • Ability to speak in general about infrastructure hardware, installation, and configuration
  • Ability to speak about functionality in new releases
  • Ability to write complex seeding rules, custom transformation rules, CF rule
  • Ability to write allocations and custom consolidation rules
