Oracle Functional Lead

Hybrid - Dallas, TX

Overview

We are seeking an Oracle Functional Lead to provide leadership across Oracle Fusion business processes, application optimization, controls, governance, and ongoing operational support. This individual will serve as the primary functional expert across finance, projects, procurement, fixed assets, and security-related initiatives while helping stabilize and mature an existing Oracle Cloud environment. The ideal candidate will combine deep Oracle Fusion functional expertise with strong business process knowledge and experience supporting asset-intensive organizations undergoing transformation and growth.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the functional lead across Oracle Fusion finance, procurement, projects, and fixed asset processes.
  • Support day-to-day production operations while identifying opportunities for process improvements and system optimization.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to evaluate requirements and translate them into scalable Oracle solutions.
  • Lead enhancement initiatives across General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management, Fixed Assets, Procurement, and Project Portfolio Management (PPM).
  • Manage role-based access controls (RBAC), security governance, and compliance-related requirements.
  • Support SOX controls, audits, testing activities, and documentation efforts.
  • Participate in stabilization activities including quarterly release planning, testing, and business readiness.
  • Drive Oracle best practices, process standardization, and governance initiatives.
  • Support reporting requirements and collaborate with technical resources on data and reporting enhancements.
  • Assess current business processes and recommend improvements that increase efficiency, control, and scalability.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of Oracle ERP or Oracle Fusion functional consulting experience.
  • Deep Oracle Fusion expertise across General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Procurement, and Project Portfolio Management (PPM).
  • Experience supporting Oracle Cloud environments in production support and enhancement roles.
  • Strong knowledge of Fixed Assets, capital project accounting, procurement, and project-related business processes.
  • Experience with Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), segregation of duties, and SOX compliance requirements.
  • Ability to support both standard Oracle functionality and enhancement/customization initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of Oracle Modern Best Practices and enterprise process design.
  • Experience partnering with finance, procurement, operations, project management, and technology stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting organizations in construction, engineering, energy, manufacturing, infrastructure, utilities, mining, or other heavy asset industries strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead workshops, requirements sessions, testing efforts, and stakeholder discussions.
