Job description

Job Title: Exadata Database Machine Administrator
Location: Chicago, IL - 100% Onsite
Long Term Contract - W2 / C2C
Experience: 10+ Years
Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer and maintain Oracle Exadata Database Machines, including patching, monitoring, and performance tuning.
  • Utilize features such as Hybrid Columnar Compression (HCC), RDMA, IORM, Smart Scan, and DBFS for optimized database performance.
  • Perform and manage database migrations, backups, and restorations using modern methodologies and snapshot technologies.
  • Handle InfiniBand configurations, Storage Server management, CellCLI, and bundle patches.
  • Support and troubleshoot Oracle 19c RAC and ASM environments, ensuring high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) readiness.
  • Set up and manage PDB/CDB configurations and implement Oracle ZDM (Zero Downtime Migration) processes.
  • Conduct OS-level maintenance on OEL (Oracle Enterprise Linux) or Solaris systems.
Core Competencies:
  • Exadata Administration
