Design, implement and provide operational support for SAP SQL and Oracle databases in an enterprise environment.Β 


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Β 

Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005/2008 R2 database administrationΒ 

Designing and Implement high availability database solutions and database recovery solutions using SQL database clustering, Log-shipping, replication, and back-up and restore technologies.Β 

Provide support for Global Operations (24X7)Β 

Stored procedure & trigger development, DTS package/SISS development, and database securityΒ 

Network communications, server hardware configuration, and database server operational support and maintenance processes and proceduresΒ 



KEY COMEPENTENCIES:Β 

Strong understanding and experience in relational database design and administration.Β 

Knowledge and experience with SQL database performance tuning methodsΒ 

Knowledge and experience with Perfmon, SQL DMVs and SQL profilerΒ 

Knowledge and experience using Litespeed is a plusΒ 

Knowledge with Microsoft SQL Server 2012Β 

Experience with z administration and operational support preferredΒ 

Knowledge of database clustering technologies and alternative disk storage solutions an advantageΒ 

Ability to demonstrate excellent problem solving and root cause analysis skillsΒ 

Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skillsΒ

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:Β 

Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, engineering or related fieldΒ 

6+ years of experience as a DBAΒ

Must be available for after-hours on-call support rotationΒ
