What We're Looking For:

We are seeking a hands‑on Data Platform Engineer/Oracle EBS Application DBA!

The ideal candidate will effectively manage our Oracle 19c Database and Oracle EBS 12.2.x environments on Linux OS, including WebLogic, requiring solid experience in this area.

Additionally, you will leverage your kneen experience of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Oracle Middleware and experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Oracle Fusion, or Oracle EPM.

This role requires a minimum of 3-days per week in our Lincolnshire, IL office OR Holtsville, NY office, 2 days remote (US).

  • Acts as an escalation point for supporting Oracle EBS and database issues.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves issues within EBS and integrated applications.
  • Manages and maintains E-Business Suite 12.2.x, Weblogic and Oracle Database 19c.
  • Performs system administration activities including patching, cloning, backup, and recovery.
  • Deploys, upgrades, relocates, and decommissions database servers both on-prem and in the cloud.
  • Plans computerized databases, including base definition, structure, documentation, long-range requirements, operational guidelines and protection
  • Ensures accuracy and completeness of data in master files and various support tools, such as base dictionaries.
  • Establishes and maintains security and integrity controls.
  • Formulates and monitors policies, procedures and standards relating to database management.
  • Proposes and implements enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system.
  • Provides preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and quick resolution of routine problems to ensure Database infrastructure and platform stability.
  • Takes responsibility for and participates in the support of hosted data platform and related services
  • Participates in architecture discussions, influence product roadmap, and take ownership and responsibility of new projects
  • Maintains and supports existing platforms and evolve to newer technology stacks and architecture
  • Participates in New Projects - Defining database strategy, architecture, standards, and procedures to uphold the integrity and security of company data resources.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree Required.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience
  • Solid experience with core physical DBA responsibilities for Oracle 19c or newer RAC on Linux/Unix, including software installation, database creation, patching, performance tuning, backup, and recovery
  • Expertise in Oracle EBS R12.2.x administration, including upgrades, migrations, and application support
  • Proven proficiency with the full lifecycle of Oracle WebLogic Server, including installation, configuration, patching, and upgrading Required
  • Strong experience in Linux/Unix operating systems and shell scripting
  • Experience in building custom tools to automate or monitor large-scale distributed systems
  • Excellent troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis skills, with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and prioritize tasks to meet team goals
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Thrives in a fast‑paced, evolving, growing, and dynamic work environment
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud Applications such as Fusion, EPM, or OTM.
  • Experience with the broader Oracle Middleware technology stack (e.g., SOA Suite, ODI).
  • Hands‑on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services and architecture.
  • Professional Oracle Certifications (e.g., OCP, OCA, OCI Architect, WebLogic Server Administrator).
  • A solid understanding of modern, cloud‑based data platform technologies.
  • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
  • Advanced degree preferred

Pay Range:

$108,960.00 - $163,440.00 Annual

Incentive Compensation:

In addition to base pay, Zebra offers this role the opportunity to earn a performance‑based annual cash incentive, at a target equal to 12% of base pay, in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
