Job description

Overview

We are seeking a Senior Oracle EPM Cloud Engineer to support, maintain, and enhance a large-scale Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) environment. This is a hands-on technical role requiring deep experience with Oracle EPM Cloud applications, integrations, calculations, data management, and platform operations.

The ideal candidate will be able to quickly assess an existing EPM environment, troubleshoot complex issues, implement enhancements, and support critical financial planning and reporting processes with minimal ramp-up time. This is not a training or entry-level EPM role.

Responsibilities
  • Support, maintain, configure, and enhance Oracle EPM Cloud applications, including:
    • Planning / PBCS
    • Essbase
    • Profitability and Cost Management (PCM)
    • Account Reconciliation Cloud Service (ARCS)
    • Narrative Reporting
    • Oracle EPM Reporting
    • Enterprise Data Management (EDM)
  • Design, develop, and maintain complex calculations, business rules, and financial models using Essbase, Groovy, and MDX.
  • Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot data integrations using Oracle Data Management / Data Exchange and Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).
  • Manage EPM metadata, dimensions, hierarchies, application configurations, security, and operational controls.
  • Support complex data flows between Oracle EPM, financial systems, and other enterprise data sources.
  • Validate and reconcile data loads to ensure accuracy, completeness, and downstream data integrity.
  • Support forecasting, budgeting, annual planning, and ongoing financial modeling processes.
  • Translate Finance and business requirements into scalable EPM models, calculations, forms, reports, and technical solutions.
  • Perform system testing, regression testing, release validation, and production readiness activities.
  • Support application migrations, environment refreshes, cloning, and configuration management across EPM environments.
  • Monitor platform performance and proactively identify opportunities to improve reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot complex application, calculation, integration, and data issues and drive them through resolution.
  • Coordinate with internal technical teams, Finance stakeholders, and Oracle Support to resolve platform issues.
  • Maintain technical documentation related to configurations, integrations, calculations, processes, and operational procedures.
  • Contribute to the execution and continued evolution of the Oracle EPM roadmap in support of broader Finance Transformation initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Significant hands-on experience implementing, supporting, and enhancing Oracle EPM Cloud environments.
  • Advanced experience with Oracle Planning / PBCS and Essbase.
  • Strong experience developing complex Essbase calculations and business rules.
  • Hands-on experience with Groovy and/or MDX within Oracle EPM environments.
  • Strong understanding of EPM metadata, dimensions, hierarchies, security, and application configuration.
  • Experience designing, developing, and supporting complex EPM data integrations and data flows.
  • Strong experience with Oracle Data Management / Data Exchange.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform data validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting across integrated financial systems.
  • Experience supporting forecasting, budgeting, planning, and financial modeling processes.
  • Experience with system testing, regression testing, application migrations, and EPM environment management.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to independently resolve complex technical issues.
  • Ability to quickly understand an existing EPM environment and contribute with minimal oversight.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Desired:

  • Experience with Oracle ERP Financials, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Fixed Assets (FA), and/or Projects.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).
  • Experience supporting Oracle PCM, ARCS, Narrative Reporting, Reporting, and/or EDM.
  • Experience working within a financial institution or other highly regulated enterprise environment.
  • Oracle EPM Cloud certification or related Oracle certifications.
  • Experience supporting enterprise Finance Transformation initiatives.
