This position requires in-office presence two days per week at our headquarters (Fairfax, VA 22033), so candidates must be local to the DC Metro area.
In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain enterprise analytics solutions using Oracle Analytics Server (OAS) and Oracle Data Integrator (ODI). You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, data architects, and analysts to deliver high-quality dashboards, reports, and scalable data pipelines that support critical business decisions.
The ideal candidate has strong expertise in SQL, data modeling, and ETL/ELT development, along with hands-on experience optimizing performance and ensuring data quality. This role also involves managing end-to-end data pipelines and supporting analytics infrastructure. Experience with WebLogic Server administration and modern data visualization tools is a plus.
Responsibilities
Job Description
Oracle Analytics Server (OAS) Development:
  • Design, develop, and implement complex reports, dashboards, and interactive visualizations using Oracle Analytics Server (OAS) and its components (e.g., Data Visualization, Dashboards, Analyses, BI Publisher).
  • Build and manage OAS RPD models (Physical, Business Model and Mapping, Presentation Layers) to optimize data accessibility and performance.
  • Configure and administer OAS security, including RPD and catalog security, object permissions, and user/group management.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize OAS performance, including report rendering, data refresh, and query execution.
  • Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver effective analytical solutions.

Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) Development:
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy robust and scalable ETL/ELT processes using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).
  • Create and optimize ODI mappings, procedures, packages, and scenarios to extract, transform, and load data from various source systems (relational databases, flat files, APIs, etc.) into target data warehouses and data marts.
  • Implement data quality checks, error handling, auditing, and reconciliation mechanisms within ODI processes.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot ODI execution, resolve data integration issues, and ensure data integrity and accuracy.
  • Work with data architects to design and implement efficient data models within the data warehouse.

SQL Expertise & Data Analysis:
  • Write complex, high-performance SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, analysis, and reporting against large datasets in Oracle databases.
  • Perform advanced SQL tuning and optimization (e.g., using EXPLAIN PLAN, indexes, partitioning) to enhance query and ETL performance.
  • Apply strong data analysis skills to understand data patterns, identify anomalies, and derive actionable insights from various data sources.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and data scientists to support their data needs and facilitate advanced analytical initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for SQL queries, data models, and ETL processes.

Data Pipeline Management:

  • Implement best practices for data governance, data security, and data lineage within the data pipeline.
  • Automate data pipeline processes for efficiency and scalability.

Qualifications
WebLogic Server Administration (Mid-Level) - PREFERRED/DESIRED:
  • Install, configure, and maintain Oracle WebLogic Server domains for OAS and ODI deployments.
  • Monitor WebLogic Server health, performance, and resource utilization, and perform basic troubleshooting.
  • Deploy and manage applications (OAS, ODI agents) on WebLogic Server.
  • Assist with WebLogic patching, upgrades, and security configurations.
  • Understand and apply basic WebLogic clustering, high availability, and disaster recovery concepts.
  • Experience with Cloud Infrastructure and its data services.
  • Knowledge of other data visualization tools (e.g., DV, Tableau & Power BI).
