Must Have Technical/Functional Skills:
  • We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer (QE) with strong expertise in test automation, API testing, database validation, and quality assurance practices.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated testing solutions to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of enterprise applications.
  • The candidate should possess hands-on experience with Selenium, Playwright, Karate, Postman, Oracle SQL, and demonstrate strong stakeholder communication and collaboration skills.
  • Exposure to Kafka and Elasticsearch (Elastic) is preferred to support testing of modern event-driven and search-based applications.

Roles & Responsibilities:
Test Strategy & Quality Assurance:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases.
  • Define quality standards, testing methodologies, and automation best practices.
  • Ensure applications meet functional, non-functional, performance, and security requirements.
  • Participate in requirement reviews and provide quality-focused feedback.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across testing processes and frameworks.

Automation Testing:
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts.
  • Create scalable automation solutions using: Selenium, Playwright, Karate Framework.
  • Automate UI, API, integration, regression, and end-to-end test scenarios.
  • Improve automation coverage and reduce manual testing efforts.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

API Testing & Integration Validation:
  • Develop and execute API test cases using Postman and Karate.
  • Validate REST API functionality, response structures, and error handling.
  • Perform integration testing across multiple systems and services.
  • Verify data flow and message processing between integrated applications.
  • Support testing of microservices-based architectures.

Database Testing:
  • Create and execute Oracle SQL queries for data validation and reconciliation.
  • Verify database updates, transformations, and business rule implementation.
  • Perform backend testing to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot database-related defects.
  • Validate source-to-target data mappings and reporting outputs.

Agile & SDLC Participation:
Participate in Agile ceremonies including:
• Sprint Planning
• Daily Standups
• Backlog Refinement
• Sprint Reviews
• Retrospectives
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and DevOps teams.
  • Provide testing estimates and support release planning activities.
  • Ensure testing activities align with project timelines and sprint goals.

Defect Management & Reporting:
  • Identify, document, track, and retest defects.
  • Perform root cause analysis and support defect resolution.
  • Collaborate with development teams to reproduce and resolve issues.
  • Provide quality metrics, testing status reports, and risk assessments.
  • Track test execution progress and communicate quality risks.

Stakeholder Communication & Management:
  • Act as a key quality advocate across business and technical teams.
  • Communicate testing progress, risks, issues, and release readiness.
  • Participate in stakeholder meetings and project reviews.
  • Ensure all stakeholders understand quality objectives and testing outcomes.
  • Support business users during User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Event-Driven & Search Platform Testing (Good to Have)
  • Support validation of Kafka-based event messaging and data streaming workflows.
  • Verify message publishing, consumption, and event processing scenarios.
  • Assist in testing Elasticsearch indexing, search capabilities, and data retrieval.
  • Analyze logs and troubleshooting information related to messaging and search services.

Salary Range - $90,000-$100,000 a year
