Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule
12-hour shifts, 3 days a week; Monday to Friday from 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM, with weekend and holiday call rotations as needed.
Job Description
The Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for providing high-quality surgical nursing care in a busy operating room setting. The RN will work collaboratively with the surgical team, ensuring a safe and efficient patient experience during surgeries.
Responsibilities
  • Coordinates care for patients undergoing surgical procedures.
  • Participates in all phases of surgical procedures, providing nursing care and ensuring patient safety.
  • Acts as a scrub nurse when necessary, passing instruments and assisting the surgical team.
  • Responsible for patient assessments, education, and supporting surgical protocols.
  • Participates in on-call rotations as scheduled, including nights and weekends.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as an Operating Room RN.
  • 2-3 previous travel assignments are required.
  • Experience in orthopedics and robotics (Da Vinci) is necessary.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS preferred.
  • Must have experience with all specialties for evening/night shifts.

Experience Requirement: 2-3 Years of experience in the specialty is required, as well as 2-3 previous travel assignments. Ortho/Neuro experience is preferred.

Charge Nurse Yes 7a - 7p. They will take circulate cases if needed

Weekend Requirement - RN's One weekend day on-call 7a-7p per month

What is call response time? 20 minutes (if they are >20 minutes away & on call they would be required to stay )
