Purpose

The Senior BSA will play a lead role in the delivery and ongoing evolution of SGWM's Investment Data Hub. You will act as the primary subject matter expert for business requirements and platform capabilities, driving alignment across investment operations, risk, compliance, and technology stakeholders. This role carries significant responsibility for the quality and completeness of the IDH solution, and requires a seasoned professional who can lead complex analysis, challenge design decisions, and mentor junior analysts.

What You'll Do

Lead end-to-end requirements gathering, solution design, and sign-off for Opus EDM workflows, data sourcing configurations, enrichment pipelines, and mastering rules
Define and enforce data governance standards across the IDH, including data lineage documentation, ownership assignment, and data quality thresholds
Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders (investment management, risk, compliance, finance, operations) and the technical delivery team
Lead UAT planning, test strategy development, and execution; own defect triage, prioritization, and formal sign-off processes
Develop and maintain target-state data models, field mapping specifications, and integration designs for all downstream consumers including Charles River, SimCorp, Eagle, and BarraOne
Provide subject matter expertise on Opus EDM platform capabilities; advise stakeholders on best practices, platform constraints, and available configuration options
Mentor and guide BSA team members; contribute to best practice documentation and knowledge transfer
Manage vendor engagement with Gresham (Opus EDM) on platform escalations, release planning, and roadmap alignment
Drive cross-functional working groups and manage competing stakeholder priorities across a large-scale program

What You'll Bring

Deep functional knowledge of Opus EDM architecture: data sourcing, enrichment workflows, golden record creation, exception management, and downstream distribution
Comprehensive understanding of investment data domains: securities reference data, pricing, corporate actions, benchmarks, NAV/fund data, and risk analytics
Demonstrated experience leading integration design and business requirements for platforms such as Charles River Development (CRD), SimCorp Dimension, Eagle PACE, and/or BarraOne
Advanced SQL proficiency; familiarity with data integration patterns, API-based data flows, and file-based exchange mechanisms
Proven ability to lead cross-functional working groups, facilitate workshops, and manage competing stakeholder priorities in a large financial institution
Experience driving delivery within agile program structures; ability to work across multiple concurrent workstreams
Nice to Have
Familiarity with risk analytics workflows within BarraOne or equivalent risk platforms
Exposure to cloud data platforms (GCP BigQuery, Azure Synapse, Databricks)
Working knowledge of data governance tooling (Collibra, Alation, or similar)
Previous experience in a Canadian bank, pension fund, or large wealth/asset management organization
Experience managing or contributing to vendor RFP and selection processes
