• Conduct thorough and comprehensive assessments of patients seeking treatment for substance use disorders, identifying their unique needs and establishing actionable goals.
• Design individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to each patient's circumstances.
• Deliver impactful individual counseling sessions utilizing methodologies such as motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy to facilitate recovery.
• Lead group therapy sessions, creating a safe space for individuals to share experiences and learn from one another’s journeys.
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, addiction medicine specialists, and other mental health professionals to ensure a seamless and integrated approach to patient care.
• Offer crisis intervention services and provide immediate support during substance-related emergencies, ensuring patient safety and wellbeing.
• Educate patients and their families about addiction dynamics, effective recovery strategies, and available community resources to aid in the recovery process.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Participate vigorously in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development activities, contributing to a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
• Stay abreast of the latest industry research, treatment advancements, and best practices in the field of substance use disorder treatment.

Your primary focus will be on individuals and families dealing with substance use disorders. You will work with diverse populations, providing culturally sensitive counseling that respects each client’s background and personal experiences. The ability to empathize and connect genuinely with clients is crucial in this role, as your interactions will directly impact their recovery journey.

• A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field is required; however, candidates with a Master’s or Doctoral degree will be prioritized.
• Current and valid licensure as a LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, or Psy.D. in the state of Washington is mandatory to practice.
• Demonstrated experience and knowledge in substance use disorder treatment methodologies is essential.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with interpersonal capabilities, to effectively engage with clients and colleagues.
• Firm understanding of ethical guidelines and legal statutes surrounding mental healthcare.

• Experience in a clinical setting focused on substance use disorders, particularly in outpatient care.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems for documentation and treatment tracking.
• Certifications related to substance abuse counseling or recovery coaching are advantageous.
