Job description

East Texas – Medical Optometrist Needed for Thriving, Large Ophthalmology / Optometry Group Practice! Join the largest, independent MD/OD group in East Texas! $200K realistic year 2!

We are looking for a Medical Optometrist to join the largest independent multi-specialty group in East Texas! The incoming doctor will see a mix of routine exams, diabetes, medical cases, dry eye, and refractive post-ops.

Our collegial, collaborative group is experiencing tremendous growth due to our wonderful reputation for exceptional care and also because East Texas’ economy is booming. You will be able to walk into a busy practice with complete technician and scribe support and enjoy a steady stream of internal and external referrals.

For young Optometrists, our physicians will be great mentors as you begin your practice.

You will work alongside full-time cataract refractive surgeons and an experienced Optometrist. You will also have access to our subspecialists rotating through the clinic every week (Plastics and Pediatrics).

Year one, expect to see: 20-30 patients per day
Year two, expect to see: 30+ patients per day depending on preferences.

This is a Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm position. No evenings or Saturdays!

We want to find a doctor who recognizes the value of our most important resource, our people, and is willing to engage with and serve the East Texas community. We are looking for a good collegial teammate who has the patient’s best interest in mind and is highly technical and skilled.

We have two, physician-owned, state-of-the-art AAAHC Certified ASCs and are known for using the latest technology and surgical procedures. We are the only practice in the region that has the Light Adjustable Lens, Oculoplastics, EVO ICL, All Laser LASIK, and Pediatrics.

A competitive salary, complete benefits package, quarterly bonuses, professional malpractice, sign-on bonus, and relocation is available. Our compensation packages exceed national salary averages and include lucrative productivity bonuses.

The Area

Our community is nestled among the beautiful pines, azaleas, and dogwoods of East Texas, and it’s a great place to raise a family. It’s the largest city in Northeast Texas but has a small-town feel. You will find friendly people, all the amenities you would see in a large metropolitan area, and plenty of things to do around the beauty of the local parks, botanical gardens and arboretums, lakes, zoo, our own State Park, and the world-famous Rose Garden. We have a thriving and diverse economy supported by multiple colleges, hospitals, agribusiness, energy, and technology. If you want to experience a night on the town, theatre, concerts, or professional sporting events, Dallas is only 90 minutes away. The beaches of the Gulf Coast are also within easy reach.
