Job description

Total Vision Care LLC is seeking a full-time Optometric Assistant to join our onsite team in SW OKC.

Position Summary

The Optometric Assistant supports our optometry practice by ensuring smooth patient flow, assisting clinicians during examinations, and maintaining an organized, welcoming experience for every patient. This role is essential to delivering efficient, high-quality care while upholding professional standards throughout the day.

You will help prepare patients for appointments, manage routine clinical and administrative tasks, and contribute to a clean, well-stocked environment that supports consistent service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for exams by collecting relevant information and assisting with pre-visit setup

  • Support optometrists during examinations by preparing equipment and assisting as needed

  • Maintain patient records accurately and ensure documentation is completed according to practice standards

  • Coordinate day-to-day office processes to support an efficient schedule and timely patient visits

  • Keep the exam rooms and clinical areas organized, sanitized, and stocked for ongoing operations

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in a customer-facing role and strong ability to interact professionally with patients

  • Comfort assisting in a clinical setting and following practice procedures and safety standards
