Optometrist - Full-time - Medically-Oriented Private Practice - Cottonwood, AZ

Our practice has provided quality, comprehensive vision services for our community since 1983. We believe in providing the best care to our patients and equipping our doctors with the tools to provide that care--as such, we encourage our doctors to keep current with all the latest advances and trends in vision care. If there's a breakthrough or improvement in this field, we'll know about it and we will make sure to implement it for your use!

What You’ll Need:

  • Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) Degree
  • Valid AZ state license to practice optometry
  • Great chairside manner and dedication to building rapport with your patients and colleagues
  • Comfort and familiarity with medical optometry
  • Dry eye, glaucoma, and macular degeneration specializations are a plus! 
  • A passion or interest in specialty contact lenses is also a plus!

Why Work Here?

Exposure: At our heavily medically based practice our doctors are able to handle a little bit of everything, including diagnosing ocular diseases such as glaucoma, diabetic exams, cataracts,  and macular degeneration, and working with a wide patient demographic.  

Environment: We believe strongly in the importance of our doctors having adequate time to spend with patients, so our ODs typically see 2 to 4 patients an hour, with techs who pretest and work up the patients. Our OD will be the sole OD initially, acting as the face of our organization with the autonomy to practice how they please!

You will have a full staff of front desk associates, opticians, and techs to support you, which will keep growing as our practice does! Additionally, we have fantastic equipment for our doctors to utilize, including:

  • Zeiss OCT
  • Visual field
  • Fundus camera
  • Autorefractor
  • Electronic Records- compulink

Schedule: We value work-life balance - no weekends or on call hours! Our new doctor will work:

  • Monday, Wed, Thursday 8 AM-5 PM with an hour lunch break
  • Tuesday 8 AM-6 PM with an hour lunch break
  • Friday 7 AM-1 PM

Compensation & Benefits: 

We offer a competitive salary, commensurate with experience plus a bonus structure. Benefits include:
