Bakersfield Eye Care Optometric Center is looking to add a floating Optometrist to its team. The practice is offering relocation assistance to help sweeten the deal. Founded in 2012, Bakersfield Eye Care Optometric Center provides exceptional vision care and eye health services to patients throughout the Greater Bakersfield and Taft areas. With a focus on family-centered care, the practice combines a welcoming, comfortable environment with advanced technology to deliver personalized solutions for each patient’s needs. Services include comprehensive eye exams, children’s eye care, contact lens exams, eye disease management, treatment for a variety of eye conditions, urgent care for eye emergencies, LASIK and refractive surgery co-management, myopia management, and scleral contact lenses. Supported by an experienced and compassionate team, the practice is dedicated to helping every patient feel cared for, confident, and supported in their eye health journey.

As part of the Bakersfield Eye Care Optometric team, you’ll join a talented group of professionals in a modern, dynamic clinic equipped with specialty technology to support comprehensive eye care. In this full-time floater role, you’ll work Monday through Friday, floating to any location on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, with Wednesdays based in Taft. You’ll perform patient examinations, recommend vision-enhancing solutions, promote good eye health through patient education, and care for an average of 22 patients per day. Job Specifications

Typically has the following skills or abilities:

Doctor of Optometry degree, O.D., including Third Party Administrator (TPA) certificate of licensure

1-3 years of clinical practice experience with current knowledge of Optometric technology and practices; new graduates are encouraged to apply

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Strong management, leadership, and organizational skills

Strong business aptitude, self-discipline, and ability to deliver outstanding patient service

Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of his/her job duties

Working Conditions
