Job description

Optometrist – Opportunities

We're seeking dedicated optometrists who are passionate about eye care, have excellent clinical skills, and have a commitment to providing exceptional patient experiences. If you have a desire to grow professionally within a supportive and collaborative team, we want to hear from you! We are growing locations with opportunities in both North and South Austin.

If relocating, Austin is one of the best places to live in the United States, thanks to its warm weather, thriving economy, and bustling cultural scene. There is something for everyone from family-friendly suburbs to the densely populated downtown area.

Master Eye Associates originally opened in 1992 and has 7 locations across the area. The current owner joined the practice in 2000 and assumed ownership Jan 2022. We serve diverse communities, and our network of clinics allows you to make a meaningful impact on the vision health of countless people. We focus on delivering top-notch care efficiently, ensuring patient satisfaction and your professional growth. We take pride in providing you with the best tools for the job. Each location is equipped with the latest Optos technology, enabling you to deliver comprehensive and accurate diagnoses.

It is our mission to improve the lives of our patients by maximizing their vision and preventing vision loss and blindness. It is a privilege to care for our patients and one we take very seriously. We will achieve this mission using leading-edge technology and thorough exams, a relentless commitment to continuing education, and treating "every patient as the most important person in the world."

Our doctors perform annual comprehensive eye exams, diagnose and treat eye diseases, handle medical emergencies, and fit and prescribe soft contact/rigid gas permeable lenses. We specialize in Optometry, Glaucoma, Myopia Management, Lasik Co-management, Cataract Co-management, and Specialty Contact Lens Fitting.

Whether you prefer a full-time commitment or a more flexible schedule, we have opportunities tailored to your needs. You can embrace work-life balance with our part-time positions or thrive in a dynamic environment with our full-time opportunities. You will see approximately 16 patients per day.

We value your well-being and offer competitive packages, including medical insurance and liability insurance, to support you in your career journey.

VSP Vision is an equal opportunity employer and gives consideration for employment to qualified applicants without regard to age, gender, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability or protected veteran status. We maintain a drug-free workplace and perform pre-employment substance abuse testing.

This career opportunity is with an independently operated practice or affiliated business entity. While VSP Vision and its affiliated companies may assist with recruiting and candidate outreach, the hiring decision, employment relationship, and terms of employment are solely between the employer of record and the applicant.
