We are seeking a Medical Optometrist to join our collaborative, patient-centered team. This is a rare opportunity to practice full-scope optometry alongside fellowship-trained ophthalmologists in a modern, high-volume medical setting—while enjoying an adventurous lifestyle that only Alaska can offer.


What You’ll Do

• Provide comprehensive optometric care to a broad and medically diverse patient population
• Work closely with ophthalmologists in a respected co-management model
• Evaluate and manage a wide range of ocular conditions such as:
– Post-operative cases
– Glaucoma, Anterior/posterior segment disease, Ocular trauma, Neuro-ophthalmic disorders
• Complete thorough medical histories and create customized treatment plans
• Educate patients on conditions, treatments, and preventive eye health
• Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
• Perform other duties as needed to support excellent patient care




Requirements:Education:

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree
• Eligibility for Alaska State Optometry licensure
• 1–2+ years of medical optometry experience or completion of an ACOE-accredited residency
• Strong preference for experience in a medically focused or surgical co-management setting
• A passion for patient care, teamwork, and continuous professional growth
