We're seeking an Optical Assistant / Optician who is passionate about patient service, enjoys working in a collaborative healthcare environment, and takes pride in helping patients improve their vision and quality of life.

In this role, you'll combine customer service, administrative support, and optical expertise to guide patients through every stage of their eye care experience.


What You'll Do

  • Welcome and assist patients with professionalism, warmth, and excellent customer service.ย 
  • Schedule appointments, verify insurance, and assist with patient registration.
  • Educate patients on insurance benefits, patient portal enrollment, and clinic processes.ย 
  • Assist patients in selecting eyeglass frames, lenses, and optical accessories that fit their prescription, lifestyle, and personal preferences.ย 
  • Submit optical laboratory orders and insurance claims while maintaining accurate documentation.ย 
  • Fit, adjust, and dispense glasses while educating patients on proper wear and care.ย 
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of frames, lenses, supplies, and optical equipment.ย 
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming optical and reception area.ย
