Duties:
- Product/component level assembly
- Optical alignment
- Testing of optical and laser components
- Wide range of assembly processes of precision opto-mechanical components including: soldering, adhesive bonding, UV Curing and mechanical assembly
- Cleaning and inspecting optics
- Cleaning and inspecting mechanical parts
- Optical, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
- Repair
- General cleaning and upkeep of work area to uphold cleanroom environment
- Follow company laser safety practices
- As in Opto-Mechanical, Optics or Electronics preferred, or equivalent experience required
- Must have 3 - 5 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of multimeters, oscilloscopes, optical spectrum analyzers and laser beam profiling equipment preferred
- Ability to work in required cleanroom dress, i.e., gloves, bonnets, frocks, shoe covers, etc.
- Must have good hand-eye coordination and dexterity
- Proficient soldering skills
- Ability to work with small parts under a microscope for extended periods for time
- Ability to read and follow written instructions and schematics
- Must be organized, energetic, reliable, timely and detail oriented
