About the Role:
Eye Catchers Optical  in Boardman, OH is looking for a motivated and personable Optometric Assistant to join our team! This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your career in eye care while making a real difference in patients' lives every day. Responsibilities:
  • Greet and check in patients, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable office experience
  • Assist the optometrist with preliminary eye exams and pre-testing procedures
  • Perform basic diagnostic tests such as tonometry, autorefraction, and retinal photography
  • Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories 
  • Help patients select frames and lenses, providing optical dispensing support
  • Schedule appointments, answer phones, and manage front desk operations
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and optical equipment
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in a medical office setting preferred
  • Familiarity with optical dispensing, contact lenses, or vision care is a plus
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Proficiency with EHR/practice management software or willingness to learn
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
