We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Optical Signal Path Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing architecture for the transmission of power and/or signals across optical fiber, developing optical sampling and signal synthesis topologies, calibration and stabilization of optical communications measurements, and domain knowledge of optical data communications systems.Responsibilities:* Develop architecture for the transmission of signals and/or power across optical fiber for test and measurement applications.* Design and implement optical sampling and signal synthesis topologies.* Calibrate and stabilize optical measurements to ensure accuracy and reliability.* Apply domain knowledge of optical data communications systems to enhance system performance.* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate optical technologies into test and measurement systems.* Lead projects from concept to implementation, ensuring alignment with business and market needs.Qualifications:* Bachelor's degree in physics or optical engineering, advanced degree preferred.* 5 or more years of demonstrated experience in optical system design and development.* Proficiency in optical o/e and e/o, and SERDES specification and design.* Strong understanding of optical and electronics system design and measurement* Experience in calibrating and stabilizing optical measurements.* Excellent cross-functional communication and project leadership skills.Preferred Qualifications:* 10+ years of experience in design or system engineering, senior or principal level or promotable within 2 years.* Experience in design across extended temperature ranges.* Experience with digital signal processing methods* Experience with power transmission over optics* Proficiency in metrology and the design of calibrated circuits.* Laboratory experience with test and measurement equipment.* Experience in model-based design.* Experience in sourcing and sustaining supply chain for optical components* Experience in interpretation of production statistics, design for manufacturing, VAVE, and sustaining activities.* Experience with optical communications standards such as IEEE 802.3 or OIF CEI-224G**Ralliant Corporation Overview**Ralliant, originally part of Fortive, now stands as a bold, independent public company driving innovation at the forefront of precision technology.
