  • Precision Fitting: Take accurate measurements, including pupillary distance (PD) and segment height.

  • Technical Repairs: Perform expert frame adjustments, nose pad replacements, and minor repairs to ensure optimal comfort and vision.

  • Lab & Inventory: Manage lens orders with labs, verify incoming jobs for accuracy (using a lensometer), and maintain a curated frame inventory.

  • Insurance Coordination: Navigate vision insurance plans (e.g., VSP, EyeMed, VBA) to help patients maximize their benefits.

Qualifications

  • Licensure: Active New Jersey Dispensing Optician License (Required); or pursuing a license.

  • Soft Skills: A "patient-first" attitude with a knack for style and fashion trends.

  • Education: High School Diploma/GED required; an Associate's degree in Opticianry is a plus.

Benefits & Perks

  • Competitive Pay: $25-$33/hr based on experience.

  • Perks: Generous employee discount on eyewear for you and your family. Significant growth opportunities.

  • Work-Life Balance: No Sundays or late-night shifts.
