We are looking for a talented and self-directed Project Manager to join Honeywell Aerospace's Advanced Sensing Technology group to help bring emerging technologies to the marketplace. We are committed to innovation, research, and development of novel technologies and are at the forefront of bringing emerging technology to real world applications.
You will report directly to our Sr R&D Manager, working out of our Plymouth, MN location on a Hybrid work schedule.
Responsibilities
As an Engineering Project Manager in Honeywell Aerospace's Advanced Sensing Technology group, you will use your experience in program management to help manage multiple projects in a fast-paced R&D environment. In this role, you will have the opportunity to support a team that develops technologies in fields such as atomic clocks, atomic RF sensors, and photonics. You will have input into a variety of strategically important business-critical tasks in the growing field of quantum and optical sensing.
In this Project Engineering role, responsibilities include:
  • Tracking and reporting on project schedules, budget, and key milestones
  • Tracking programmatic metrics associated with earned value
  • Managing capital equipment procurement and installation projects
  • Performing administrative tasks with equipment suppliers, including managing service contracts and NDAs
  • Interfacing with facilities, health and safety, and engineering for key safety and facility improvements
  • Working with finance, contracts, procurement, and other support functions to make sure program work flows efficiently
  • Managing various material inventories for program use

Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics
  • 8 years industry experience in project engineering, project management, or transferrable role.

WE VALUE
  • Experience in an atomic or optical lab environment is a plus.
  • Engineering background to effectively communicate with engineers on their project milestones and equipment needs
  • Prior program management experience, including PMP certification is of value
  • Extensive track record of navigating in a cross-functional corporate environment
  • Experience using SAP for program and proposal support
  • Experience with basic lab equipment
  • Enthusiasm for learning about new technologies and engaging difficult logistical problems
  • Experience managing capital equipment projects.
  • Ability to work directly with sponsors and customers
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Understanding complex customer requirements and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders

The annual base salary range for this position is $133,000 - $166,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
