Job description

GST, LLC, a GTSC company, seeks an experienced Remote Sensing Scientist to join our team. Requires experience working with Low Earth Orbit instruments (LEO) and data produced by them. This is a remote position.
~~~ This position is contingent upon contract award with expected work start in December 2026 ~~~
Required Education/Experience Skills:
  • Must be remote sensing scientist with experience working with Low Earth Orbit instruments and data produced by them.
  • A Master's degree or Ph.D. in Physics, Mathematics, Engineering or Remote Sensing is preferred.
  • Must have the ability to develop new and innovative science data processing algorithms for processing satellite data into products and services.
  • Must be able to support development/implementation/use of sounding applications in close collaboration with weather forecasters through demonstrations and verification of science products through user engagement.

Applicants selected will be subject to a government background investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements.

Salary at GST is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $95,000 to $105,000 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range or this position and is just one component of the GST total compensation package for employees.
